the castle of Veauce
The castle of Veauce, built into 808 when Charlemagne formed the kingdom of the Aquitaine and became barony into 1400.
Oldest from the five towers dates from XI century and is called the square tower. There was another tower, called " la mal coiffée ", which measured 45 meters top, which dates from the same time. It was destroyed in XVII century on command of Richelieu.
The keep and the hexagonal tower are of XIV century as well as the tower of the clock. It always shelters a mechanism of 1895 in operating state. A Renaissance part supplements this building.
