The Gorges of Sioule

Sioule is born in the Mont Dore in the Puy-de-Dome. Between Menat and Ébreuil, it notched the rock to cut through a path. It offers to us splendid landscapes of throats at Chouvignythen it takes again its path to arrive in the plain and from there will meet the river Allier.
In hearth of the throats, this intact and wild natureshelters a remarkable ecosystem. One finds raptors diurnal and night as well as particular vegetation. Several vegetable species of Mediterranean origin settled here thanks to the presence of a microclimate.
